Renewal Analytics – Measure What Matters in Retention

Table of Contents

The Renewal Analytics screen takes your renewal data and turns it into actionable insights. While the Renewal Tracker helps you manage individual renewals, Analytics helps you understand the big picture — trends over time, performance by rep, performance by product, and where your retention strategy is winning or losing.

Getting There

Navigate to Operations → Customer Success → Renewal Analytics in the left sidebar.

Key Features

KPI Overview

The top section provides high-level KPIs for your renewal performance across the selected time period. See your overall renewal rate, total renewed value, average price change, and other critical metrics at a glance.

All Reps View

See renewal performance aggregated across all reps. This view shows you team-wide trends and helps identify whether performance issues are individual or systemic.

By Rep View

Break down renewal performance by individual rep. See who’s exceeding targets, who needs coaching, and how performance compares across the team. This is invaluable for 1-on-1 conversations and performance reviews.

By Product View

Analyze renewals by product or service line. Understand which products have the strongest retention and which might need attention from your product or CS teams.

Rep Behavior Analytics

Go beyond outcomes and analyze rep behavior — how quickly are they engaging with renewals? Are they starting the conversation early enough? Are they documenting their interactions? Behavior analytics helps you identify coaching opportunities before they become performance problems.

Step-by-Step: Analyzing Renewal Performance

  1. Set your date range — Choose the time period you want to analyze.
  2. Start with KPIs — Check the high-level metrics to understand overall performance.
  3. Review All Reps — Look at team-wide trends first to establish the baseline.
  4. Drill into By Rep — Identify top performers and those who need support.
  5. Check By Product — See if certain products are driving churn more than others.
  6. Examine behavior — Use the behavior analytics to understand the “why” behind the numbers.

💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Compare periods — Always compare current performance to previous periods to spot trends.
  • Use behavior data for coaching — Numbers tell you what happened; behavior data tells you why. Use both in rep conversations.
  • Share with leadership — Renewal Analytics is great for board-ready reporting. Export or screenshot key charts for your leadership updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far back does the data go?

Analytics covers all the historical renewal data that has been uploaded into Subrise. The further back your data goes, the richer your trend analysis will be.

Can I compare two time periods side by side?

Yes — use the date range controls to set comparison periods and see how metrics have changed over time.

What if a rep manages renewals across multiple products?

The By Rep and By Product views are independent slices of the same data. A rep’s transactions will appear in both views, categorized appropriately.
